We warmly invite visitors to our Library for in-person consultations and access to our physical and digital resources, which are part of our extensive collection. Our dedicated library staff is eager to provide the information and guidance to ensure your visit is productive.

On November 18, 2023, third-semester students pursuing Library Information Science at G.M. University, Sambalpur, commenced a 7-day internship at the NISER Central Library. The group actively participated in discussions aimed at improving students' competitiveness through practical experience. Over the course of the program, students underwent extensive hands-on training in diverse sections of the library.

 

On November 17, 2023, we hosted Prof. V. Chandrasekhar, Distinguished Professor and Centre Director at Tata Institute of Fundamental Research Hyderabad and Former Director of NISER Bhubaneswar, at our library. Prof. Chandrasekhar thoroughly explored our library spaces, facilities, and diverse collections, actively engaging with our academic resources. His presence elevated our learning community, sparking insightful conversations at the nexus of energy and knowledge.

 

On October 12, 2023, a delegation of librarians from Akashvani Kendra branches nationwide graced our library with their presence. Their visit was marked by a spirit of exploration and collaboration as they delved into our library's abundant resources, engaging in insightful discussions with our Scientific Officers. This visit was more than just a mere exchange; it was an opportunity for these professionals to discover common ground and synergies.

 

On October 5, 2023, Delegates from the Odisha Urban Academy, Government of Odisha, paid a visit to our library with the objective of enhancing collaboration and knowledge exchange between our organizations. During their visit, the delegates explored our library's resources, engaged in discussions with our Scientific Officers, and explored opportunities for cooperation in research, education, and information sharing.

 

On September 22, 2023, Delegates from OUAT (Orissa University of Agriculture and Technology) recently visited our library. This visit aimed to foster collaboration and knowledge sharing between our institutions. During their time here, the delegates had the opportunity to explore our library's resources and facilities, exchange ideas with our Scientific Officers, and discuss potential areas of cooperation in research, education, and information dissemination.

 

On July 17, 2023, Dr. Ajit Kumar Mohanty, Secretary of the Department of Atomic Energy (DAE), graced our library with an insightful visit, exploring our diverse collection and engaging with our academic resources. His presence enriched our learning community, sparking discussions on the intersection of energy and knowledge. We are honored to have hosted such a distinguished guest.

On May 22, 2023, a delegation of Library Information Science students from Berhampur University, Odisha, embarked on a 10-day internship program at the NISER Central Library. Headed by Associate Professor Dr. Jyotsna Sahoo, the group engaged in fruitful discussions regarding strategies to enhance the students' competitiveness through practical experience. Throughout the program, the students received comprehensive hands-on training across various sections of the library.

Library Information Science students from Shailabala Women's College, Cuttack, paid a visit to NISER Central Library on February 8, 2023, to discuss common study topics. The team, led by Assistant Professor Chinmayee Mallik and Assistant Professor Suryakanta Baral, discussed how these students could gain practical experience to make them more competitive. Mr. Kapil Kumar Gupta, Scientific Officer, delivered a Library Orientation Talk to the students, followed by a vote of thanks from Mr. Prasanna Kumar Muduli, Scientific Officer, Library.

Prof. Shreepad Karmalkar, the current Director of the Indian Institute of Technology Bhubaneswar, paid his first visit to the NISER Central Library on January 13, 2023. During this visit, he and the IIT Bhubaneswar delegates explore the Library Spaces, Facilities, etc. Central Library anticipates strong academic interactions between the two institutes.

On June 30, 2022, a group of library information science students from Utkal University visited the Central Library for a productive discussion on shared academic interests. The session commenced with an informative orientation talk given by Mr. Kapil K. Gupta, Scientific Officer, setting the stage for the fruitful exchange.
