The rules and policies related to the children's library are as follows:

Children below ten years should be accompanied by their parents/guardians if they want to visit the children's library.

Dependents of faculty/ staff (NISER employees) visiting the library should carry any identity card or health card (CHSS) stating their relationship with the NISER employee.

The book will only be issued to the NISER employee account, and an email will be sent to the concerned employee about the checkout.

Since the library has an "open access system," the children can go directly to the shelves, browse, and refer to books of their choice.

The children are not allowed to bring their personal belongings or books into the library.

Failure to return the issued books on or before the due date will attract overdue charges, which will be levied as per rules (five rupees per day per book).

Marking, underlining, or writing on library books, periodicals, and newspapers are strictly prohibited.

In case of book is misused, wrongly handled, or lost, the person concerned (NISER employee) will have to replace the book(s) or pay four times the cost of the book(s) at the present cost of that book.

The members should take good care of library furnishings and equipment. Reading or learning materials, if any used, should be taken care of and appropriately replaced or handed over to the staff of the children's library before leaving the library.

Food and beverages are not allowed in the library.

Please enter the in-time and out-time during the visit to the children’s library in the register.
