NISER has a Community Centre, situated near the shopping complex, where the residents tend to gather for celebrations, group activities, social support, public information and other purposes. It is mainly used for celebrations (birthdays, weddings etc.), public meetings on various issues, volunteer activities. It is fully air-conditioned, well-lit and has a theatre-like stage, a huge kitchen along with gender-specific washrooms.
It is maintained by Institute Works Department. Booking can be made through Institute Management System. However, volunteer activities and official gatherings have higher priority than individual celebrations.
