MY WIFE MY SPIRITUAL LIFE MY FAMILY
I am Pratap Kumar Sahoo, born on 2nd July 1975 in a village named Bangursingh (between river Bramhni and a nice jungle), Dhenkanal in Orissa (the land of Lord Jagannath) in India (the Vedic land). After my schooling in my village I did my graduation and master degree at Ravenshaw college, Cuttack, (one of the reputed leading institution of Orissa). I learned the culture of odisha and many more things (writing play, poetry, novel, etc.) during my 5 years stay at Ravenshaw college hostel. After having a nice time there I joined at Institute of Physics Bhubaneswar in a project for one year and then shifted to IIT Kanpur as a research scholar in the department of physics in July 1998. During the tenure of my Ph.D I was at University of Goettingen, Germany as a visiting student for 9 months, which was the most valuable period of my research carrier. The first pages of my loneliness drives my mind towards the devotion of Sudha Bhakti and keep my mind intact in that. I enjoyed the stay there with a regular visit to different holy places like Himalayans, Vrindavan, Nimisaranya, Chitrakut, Ayodha, and many more during holidays.
I started my Grihastashram (family life) marrying to Madhusmita Sahoo (Seema) on 1st June 2005.
We blessed our first son named Priyashraba on 20th July 2007. The name Priyashraba comes from the verse of Srimad Bhagavatam: I liked to read novels and poetry many times in oriya, bengali and english. Love to play Mrudamgan and Tabla when I get leisure. But now I prefer to spend my times with different spiritual books such as Shreemad Bhagavatam, Chaitanya Bhagavatam, Antardaha, Bhakti Vigyan, Amrutra Sopana and doing Kirtanm at morning and evening...

The meaning of Priyashraba is - Pleasing to hear. This is just the next word of Tirthapada (the name of my elderbrother’s son) means-Lord Whose Lotus feet is the source of all virtues or holiness.
We blessed our 2nd son named Punyasloka on 1st November 2012.
The name Punyasloka comes from the verse of Srimad Bhagavatam [SB 10.64.27-28]:
Deva-deva jagan-natha govinda purushottama|
Narayana hrishikesa punya-sloka-cyutavyaya ||
Anujanihi mam krishna yantam deva-gatim prabho |
Yatra kvapi satas ceto bhuyan me tvat-padaspadam ||
The meaning of Punyasloka is - the sacred verse. Like Priyashraba this is alos one of the famous name of Lord Krishna.
