2nd Workshop on

Dynamics of QCD matter

The aim of this workshop is to enhance the direct exchange of scientific information among the younger members of the Relativistic Heavy Ion and QCD community in India, both from the experiments and theory. Therefore we especially want to encourage advanced graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, young research staff and junior faculty to apply. The focus of the discussions is on the fundamental understanding of strongly-interacting matter at extreme conditions, as formed in ultra-relativistic nucleus-nucleus collisions, emergent QCD phenomena in high-multiplicity proton-proton and proton-nucleus collisions, and perturbative QCD techniques.

Reaching the Venue

The conference will be held in NISER which can be reached in the following ways:

Via air: The nearest airport to NISER campus is Biju Patnaik Airport (BBI), Bhubaneswar. The campus is about 25 km from the airport. People can avail Ola, Uber or Prepaid Taxi service available at the airport to reach the campus.

Via train:
• The Khurdha Road Junction (KUR) is the nearest railway station. The campus is about 4 km away from the station. Auto-rickshaws are always available outside the railway station and generally charge about ₹150.
• The campus can also be reached from the Bhubaneswar (BBS) railway station. Ola, Uber or auto-rickshaws can be availed from the station which is around 25 km travel. However, it is advised to use the Khurdha Road Junction railway station due to its proximity to the campus.

Accommodation

Accommodation will be provided in NISER guest house on single/double occupancy basis during the period of the conference.
