About TMAP

    Topical Meeting on Advances in Photonics is organized to highlight contemporary research in emerging/focus areas of photonics and optical physics. The main aim is to include discussions on research directions in both theoretical and experimental aspects.

Eminent speakers in the following fields would be delivering lectures during the meeting.

  • Plasmonics and sub-wavelength optics
  • Nonlinear and quantum Optics
  • Diffractive optics and imaging

The meeting will also have a session on poster presentations which will primarily include contributions from students. This session will be organized by NISER-OSA student chapter, two best-poster presentations will receive prize.

Submission of abstracts (for poster-presentation) could be made here.

Accommodation will be provided to all the participants. Please mention whether you need accommodation while registering for the meeting.

About NISER OSA student chapter

Welcome to the NISER Bhubaneswar OSA Student Chapter webpage. The chapter got formal recognition from The Optical Society (OSA) in June 2016 and is a part of more than 350 optical society (OSA) student chapters in the world. Our objective is to promote Optics and Nanophotonics discipline among the undergraduates and graduate students at NISER. As part of this, we regularly organize meetings and seminars.

About NISER

National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER), Bhubaneswar, is a research institution funded by the Department of Atomic Energy (DAE), Govt. of India. NISER is affiliated to Homi Bhabha National Institute (HBNI), Mumbai, a deemed research university. The main aim of NISER is to train and nurture motivated world class researchers who will take up challenging research and teaching assignments in universities, research laboratories, and industries. This institute is dedicated to pursue cutting edge research along with both undergraduate and graduate education. Abstract Submission

  • Interested registered participants can take part in poster presentation. To participate in poster presentation one has to submit his/her abstract of presentation in the given link
  • Authors are requested to submit a 2-page Summary of their contribution in .pdf format. The style of preparation of the Summary should be as per the standard format of OSA Conferences.
