About Bhubaneswar & Odisha
Bhubaneswar, the capital city of Odisha, is a vibrant metropolis that gracefully merges ancient heritage with modern aspirations. Often referred to as the "Temple City of India," it is home to more than 700 temples, including the famous Lingaraj Temple, which stands as a testament to the glorious Kalinga architecture. The city serves as the cultural, educational, and economic hub of Odisha, boasting top institutes like NISER, IIT Bhubaneswar, and AIIMS.
With a rapidly developing infrastructure, clean urban planning, and abundant green spaces, Bhubaneswar offers a pleasant mix of tradition and innovation. The city has also been recognized as one of the first Smart Cities under India’s Smart City Mission.
Odisha, the land of spiritual calm and natural splendor, offers a rich tapestry of attractions — from the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Konark Sun Temple to the pristine beaches of Puri. The state is adorned with diverse landscapes, ancient monuments, vibrant festivals like Rath Yatra, and a unique cuisine that reflects its cultural richness.
Whether you’re exploring tribal traditions, marveling at the Buddhist relics at Ratnagiri, or birdwatching at Asia’s largest brackish water lagoon, Chilika Lake, Odisha offers a fulfilling journey to all who seek culture, nature, and spirituality.
Don’t miss the local crafts like applique work from Pipili, silver filigree of Cuttack, and Sambalpuri textiles. Odisha is a paradise for cultural connoisseurs, adventure seekers, and spiritual wanderers alike.
