Responsibilities :
Dr. D. S. Kothari Postdoctoral Fellowship Scheme in Sciences
(including Medical and Engineering Sciences) of UGC has been
running successfully from the past 11 years. The basic idea
is to inculcate postdoctoral culture in our University
system. These Fellowships are tenable for 3 years at
University Departments (Fellowship amount: Rs. 43,400
p.m. plus HRA as applicable with a contingency grant of
Rs. 100,000 p.a.). The candidates upto 35 years are eligible
for selection. In general, the candidates are expected to
work in a place different from the place of their doctoral
work preferably on a newer research topic. Act as referee
for the prestigious Dr. D. S. Kothari Postdoctoral Fellowship of the UGC in sciences.

IISER, Berhampur:

Committees or officers to do so and to make recommendations to
the Board regarding conferment or grant of degrees, diplomas
and other academic distinctions or titles;
- appoint Advisory Committees or Expert Committees or both
for the Academic Departments or Disciplines or Centres or
Schools and the Academic Centres of the Institute to make
recommendation on academic matters connected with the
working of the Academic Departments or Disciplines or

XI SERC School on Experimental High Energy

This school is the 11th
in the series of such schools organised to impart the key
concepts on various topics related to Experimental High Energy
Physics (EHEP), primarily to PhD students in their early
careers of research in the field. The school provides training
through a set of pedagogical lectures on selected topics
supported by tutorial sessions. There are dedicated sessions
organised where students will have working experience on
topics related to detectors, electronics, data analysis
techniques, event generators, Monte Carlo methods and detector
simulations. The lecturers are drawn from various Institutes
and Universities of repute. In addition, in the evenings,
eminent scientists are invited to deliver colloquia level
