International conference on plant development biology and National Arabidopsis meeting 2017



NISER is an autonomous institute funded by the Department of Atomic Energy, Govt of India. It strives to be among the best in the world in terms of science education and research. The institute is affiliated to Homi Bhabha National Institute. It is functioning from its new 300-acre campus, which was inaugurated by the Hon'ble prime minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi, on 7th February 2016. About the conference

International conference on Plant Developmental Biology (ICPDB) 2017, to be organised at the beautiful campus of NISER at Jatni, will provide a platform for exchange of ideas and building of new collaborations between leading researchers from the US, Europe and Asia, working in cuuting edge of plant science. It will bring together eminent speaker and investigators who are at the forefront of different aspects of plant developmental biology research. We plan to have 4 different scientific sessions as follows.

  • Flowering time regulation
  • Phytohormone signalling
  • Plant-Pathogen interaction
  • Plant stem cells

This list is not exhaustive and many more sub-topics may be added, encompassing broadlydifferent aspects of plant development.

Besides the international conference, this gathering will also facilitate the 3rd annual National Arabidopsis Meeting. The Arabidopsis meeting, every year, aims to brings together most of the eminent who work using the model Arabidopsis thaliana.

This program will include symposia, poster sessions, oral presentation, special discussion sessions on selected topics related to plant development. Young researchers,PhD student, Postdocs will get an opportunity to present their work and interact with the senior scientists for the exchange of ideas. Innovative ideas will br rewarded with best poster award , best oral presentation award.

Registration will be based on a first come first serve basis. Registration will be confirmed only after the payment of registration fees. Registered candidates are eligible to submit an abstract. The abstract should be 250 words long and should be submitted along with the registration form to Standard poster size is applicable for presentation.
