Kalinga Cluster

New HPC cluster under school of physical science has been installed and is named as Kalinga cluster.

Kalinga Cluster:

Kalinga cluster is a HPC of 32 compute nodes.

It is based on Intel(R) Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5-2698 v3 @ 2.30GHz. Two sockets for each node (32-cores per node) with Memory: 512 GB (8 * 64 GB) per node.

1. Master node: (1 node) 
Processor: 2 x 16 cores (Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5-2698 v3 @ 2.30GHz)
Memory: 512 GB (8 * 64 GB)

2. Computer nodes:(32 nodes)
Processor: 2 x 16 cores (Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5-2698 v3 @ 2.30GHz)
Memory: 512 GB (8 * 64 GB)

3. GPU node (NVIDIA) (1 node)
NVIDIA Tesla K40c (4 cards)

4. Storage Nodes MDS 1 & OSS1 (2 nodes)

5. Interconnect:

Primary Interconnect: Infiniband (MSX6036F-1SFS) 36-port Non-blocking Managed 56Gb/s InfiniBand/VPI SDN Switch System

Secondary Interconnect: Ethernet (SSE-G2252) - 48 Port Gigabit Switch

6. Storage: 206TB with Luster Parallel File System.

7. Resource Manager: Pbs pro with fair-share scheduling.

8. Monitoring Tool: Ganglia

9. KVM Switch and KVM Console.
